We display the information you give, plus the results of the research, in unique, multi-coloured family trees. These are packed with crucial information but are also easy on the eye.

Our family trees are created using Microsoft Word, rather than using a genealogy software package. There are several reasons for this:

  • The printed versions of trees created by most genealogy software programs are unwieldy and don’t illustrate relationships clearly.
  • Using MS Word, a tree can be kept as simple and informative as possible, in a traditional format that’s easy to read and fits onto sheets of A4 or A3 paper. You are presented with a tree that looks neat, is understandable and easy to store, both electronically and in printed form.
  • Almost everyone has a version of MS Word so trees are easily transferable. You can send them on to other interested family members at the click of a button, without having to have the “right” software.
  • Trees created in MS Word can be colour-coded in any way to illustrate facts about individuals, to your personal request
  • It’s easy to take extracts from detailed trees created in MS Word and simplify them for demonstration purposes.

As well as providing detailed trees, we can also include simpler, more illustrative trees, which can be used as visual aids to demonstrate relationships between individuals or families. These types of trees are increasingly popular, especially as conversation pieces at family reunions and get-togethers.

We produce all sorts of different types of family tree:

• There’s the traditional descendants chart, typically showing all descendants from one marriage one relationship.

• A direct ancestral tree (or pedigree chart), showing a person’s two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents and so on, up their direct line only.

• An illustrative tree, showing just the simplified relationship between two or more individuals.

Here are some more examples of the different types of family tree we provide:

Descendants of Louis Goodman & Jessie Goodman (simple descendants chart)

Descendants of Majer Wolf Tempelchof & Gitl Wozowska (complex descendants chart)

Relationship between 4 people (illustrative tree)

The Confusion of Intermarriage in the Kowalski Family (a bit of fun but all real genealogy!)

Some clients are interested in more artistic versions of their family tree, for display and gift purposes. In these cases, we work with Dan Matalon Graphic Design to produce elegant family trees to your chosen size and specification.
