Sample Trees

 

 

At Brother's Wish, we produce family trees using Microsoft Word, rather than using a genealogy software package. There are several reasons for this:

 

The printed versions of trees created by most genealogy software programs are unwieldy and don't illustrate relationships clearly. Using MS Word, a tree can be kept as simple and informative as possible, in a traditional format that's easy to read and fits onto sheets of A4 paper. You are presented with a tree that looks neat, is understandable and easy to store, both electronically and in printed form.

 

 

Almost everyone has a version of MS Word so trees are easily transferable. You can send them on to other interested family members at the click of a button, without having to have the "right" software.

   

Trees created in MS Word can be colour-coded in any way to illustrate facts about individuals, to your personal request.

 

 

It's easy to take extracts from detailed trees created in MS Word and simplify them for demonstration purposes.
